Jill Charboneau

President Vermont State Labor Council, AFL-CIO

Jill has ten siblings, raised in North Ferrisburgh, Vt. Shewas educated in the Vermont public school system and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1978 with a degree in Political Science. While raising three children Jill served as a city letter carrier for the USPS from 1983 until retirement in 2014, and has been a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers AFL-CIO for over 30 years, holding a variety of offices including President of the Vermont State Labor Council AFL-CIO. Jill is also currently President of Vermont State Association of Letter Carriers AFL-CIO. She is the first woman to hold either of these offices. Jill lead the effort to bring the Letter Carrier ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive to Vermont in 1991. She serves as the Vermont coordinator  for NALC Food Drive, and has a part-time job at a convenience store in Middlebury.
