The New York Times Book Review just hailed Our Veterans as a “chilling account of the physical, economic, and psychological consequences of military service on veteran health and a critical look at the many players involved in shaping veteran life in the United States."

On Tuesday, September 13th at 7:00 pm, join us at Phoenix Books in Burlington (191 Bank Street, downtown Burlington) for a book party and discussion. This event is free and open to the public but advance registration is requested. Pre-order your copy here.

 

Speakers will include healthcare reformers, local labor activists and advocates and VA care-givers for veterans, along with Our Veterans co-authors:

Suzanne Gordon, co-founder of the Veterans Healthcare Policy Institute and author of many books, including, Wounds of War: How the VA Delivers Health, Healing, and Hope to the Nation's Veterans.

Steve Early, a longtime CWA organizer in New England, co-founder of Labor for Bernie, and the author of four previous books about labor and politics.
