Executive Director. The VT AFL-CIO is seeking an individual who is committed to the labor movement with an understanding of labor’s goals to serve as our next Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have the experience and commitment to advance projects and programs that convey our organization's goals and to work with other union leaders, members, and community activists in high-pressure situations and under difficult deadlines. The Executive Director is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the organization and for implementation of all Vermont AFL-CIO activities, programs, and advancement of political campaigns. - On-Call Organizers. On-call organizers are paid $20/hr to give short-term support to mainly internal organizing campaigns; in other words, campaigns to help already unionized workers build power. Some experience is preferred but not necessary. Click here to learn more.
